Job Title: Ruby on Rails Software Engineer

Location: Bengaluru

Experience: 6 to 9 years (Multiple Levels)

Job Overview:

We are seeking talented and motivated Ruby on Rails Software Engineers to join our global MNC team at our Bengaluru office. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. Opportunities are available for professionals with 6 to 9 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.

- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow between front-end and back-end systems.

- Work with relational databases (RDBMS) and optimize queries for performance.

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers in an Agile environment.

- Participate in story point estimation, sprint planning, and code reviews.

- Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with best practices.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following OOP principles.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems as needed.

- Contribute to continuous improvement by actively participating in retrospectives and suggesting process enhancements.

Must-Have Skills:

- 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.

- Strong experience in designing and consuming REST APIs.

- Proficiency in working with RDBMS (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB).

- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.

- Experience with Agile methodologies and story point estimation.

- Good understanding of application security best practices.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.

- Knowledge of TDD/BDD testing frameworks (RSpec, Minitest).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Exposure to Python for scripting or integration tasks.

- Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Building AI Agents for RoR web applications

Primary Skills:

• 69 years (Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience is a must)

• RDBMS (Preferably MySQL)
