About the Role:

Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using Ruby on Rails.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and ship new features.
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Design and implement APIs (RESTful/GraphQL).
Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
Strong understanding of OOP, MVC, and RESTful design patterns.
Experience with frontend technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ideally frameworks like React or Vue.js.
Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases.
Experience with RSpec, Minitest, or other testing frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment processes.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Heroku is a plus.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a bonus.
Good problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Nice to Have:

Experience working in agile teams (Scrum/Kanban).
Contributions to open-source Ruby gems or RoR community.
Understanding of performance tuning and security best practices.
