Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Development
: Build and maintain backend services and reusable platform components using Ruby on Rails & Django.
Architecture & Design
: Collaborate with engineers to design scalable, maintainable system architecture.
API Engineering
: Create and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs that support internal and third-party integrations.
Database Design
: Model data structures, write performant SQL queries, and manage PostgreSQL/MySQL optimization.
Performance Tuning
: Continuously monitor and improve system performance and scalability.
Testing & Code Quality
: Write unit/integration tests (e.g., RSpec) and follow best practices for maintainable, production-ready code.
Cross-Team Collaboration
: Work with frontend (React/TypeScript), DevOps, and product teams to ship complete features.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Deep experience with
Ruby on Rails
.
Proficiency in
SQL
; strong experience with
PostgreSQL or MySQL
.
Must have experience with
Python.
Strong knowledge of
RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
.
Familiarity with
Redis
or similar for backend caching.
Solid understanding of
version control
(Git), testing (RSpec/Minitest), and software design patterns.
Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
