Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Rolling Stock Expert (Mechanical) to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 20-30 years of experience in the railway or railway-related industry, with at least 5 years of experience in urban rail-based passenger carrying systems.

Roles and Responsibility

Define requirements for car body structure, bogies, suspension, couplers, HVAC systems, and interior fittings.
Coordinate with electrical, signaling, and depot teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical subsystems into overall rolling stock design.
Support factory acceptance tests, dynamic trials, and commissioning of mechanical components to validate safety and performance.
Ensure mechanical systems meet Indian and international standards (UIC, EN, IEC) and metro rail guidelines.
Provide technical inputs, compliance matrices, and subsystem design documentation for bid submission.
Review mechanical subsystem proposals, evaluate technical solutions, and monitor supplier performance.

Job Requirements

Graduate in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 20 years of experience in the railway or railway-related industry.
At least 5 years of experience in urban rail-based passenger carrying systems.
Possess strong knowledge of railways, including bridges, station buildings, depots, earthwork & track works, power supply and transmission, signaling & telecommunications, rolling stock, utilities diversion, and yard re-modelling.
Demonstrate excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
