Rolling Mill Level 1 Automation Engineer

Role Overview: As a Rolling Mill Level 1 Automation Engineer based in Hyderabad, you will be responsible for engineering, programming, testing, and commissioning automation systems for flat and long rolling mills. Your role will involve preparing IO lists, I/O engineering, and related automation drawings, as well as commissioning automation systems based on PLCs for various types of mills and processing lines in India and abroad. Additionally, you will provide post-commissioning and service support to ensure the smooth operation of the systems. Key Responsibilities: - Perform Level 1 Automation tasks including PLC/Technological controls/HMI Software engineering for flat and long rolling mills. - Prepare IO lists, I/O engineering, and automation drawings. - Detail interfaces for MCCs, drives, measuring systems, Level 2 systems, and package units. - Commission automation systems for hot mills, cold mills, long rolling mills, and processing lines. - Provide post-commissioning and service support. Qualifications Required: - University Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (B.E or B. Tech). - 4 to 12 years of work experience. - Good knowledge of PLC programming using Ladder logic/Function block diagram/Continuous flow charts (CFC) on platforms like Siemens/ABB/TMEIC. - Programming knowledge of technological systems like Siemens PCS7/Siemens TDC/SMS X-pact/Hi-Pac is desirable. - Working knowledge of HMI systems like Siemens WinCC/Wonderware. - Familiarity with the process of hot mills, cold rolling mills, long rolling mills, and processing lines is desirable. - Good communication, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills. - Willingness to travel for site commissioning work in India and abroad.
