Rivet Engineer / Rivet Operator / Rivet Supervisor

As a Rivet Operator, your main responsibility will be to operate and maintain riveting machinery in order to securely and efficiently join metal components. This role requires you to set up equipment, conduct quality checks, and ensure the precision and durability of riveted assemblies. The ideal candidate for this role will possess hands-on experience with riveting tools and equipment, a keen attention to detail, and a strong commitment to upholding safety and quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include operating various riveting machines such as pneumatic, hydraulic, and manual riveters to join metal components. You will need to adjust machine settings like pressure and speed to align with specific job requirements and material specifications. Additionally, inserting rivets into pre-drilled holes or aligning rivet guns according to blueprints or technical specifications will be crucial tasks in the rivet installation process. Monitoring the riveting process to ensure proper alignment and secure fastening of rivets will also be part of your duties. Quality control will be a vital aspect of your role, as you will need to inspect riveted assemblies for correct rivet placement, integrity, and adherence to quality standards. Performing measurements and tests to verify that rivet connections meet dimensional and strength requirements will be essential. In case of any defects or issues, you will be expected to report them to the supervisor, make necessary adjustments or repairs, and maintain accurate records of production output and incidents encountered. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of riveting machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions or issues that may arise during operation will also fall under your purview. Following safety protocols and guidelines, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to safety and quality will be paramount. Collaborating with other operators, engineers, and production staff to ensure smooth operations and achieve production goals will be necessary. Your ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, along with effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, will be valuable assets in this role. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and good communication skills are qualities that will help you succeed as a Rivet Operator. If you have a high school diploma or equivalent, vocational training or certification in manufacturing or mechanical trades, and previous experience as a Rivet Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing or construction environment, you are encouraged to apply.
