Job Description

As a Disaster Recovery Manager at Micron Technology, your role involves assuming management responsibility for Disaster Recovery planning efforts with a major focus on assuring the adequacy of business unit contingency plans for critical business areas, functions, and applications. You will work closely with business unit management to enhance disaster recovery plans, mitigating the effect of a technology system or application failure or problem. Your key objectives will be to ensure that business units can continue to manage Micron's assets, satisfy regulatory obligations, and maintain the company's presence in the marketplace. Additionally, you will provide direct communications between the BCP/Crisis Management Team, IT DR Stakeholders, Incident Response Teams, ITLT & Business Users. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate activities of technology resources with Micron's business units and development groups to maintain continued operations, asset protection, and loss mitigation in the event of a disruption. - Enhance, formalize, and standardize the business planning process across all business units to facilitate timely accommodation of future company recovery requirements and opportunities. - Develop, coordinate, and maintain comprehensive contingency plans and validation methodology to ensure Micron's ability to recover in the event of an unforeseen disruption. - Perform relevant job duties including metrics gathering, planning, review, testing, documentation, and other activities as assigned in a timely manner. - Conduct periodic reviews and tests of established Disaster Recovery plans and procedures, reporting findings to management and making recommendations for improvements as needed. Qualifications Required: - 2-5 years of experience in Disaster Recovery planning and management. - Experience in team environments related to the implementation of Business Impact Analysis projects and ITDR program work. - Accomplished knowledge of Information and operational technologies, networks, user-facing applications, and middleware. - Understanding of physical and virtual systems and their interdependencies. - Familiarity with information security practices, technologies, and infrastructure. - Experience in conducting detailed risk assessments and impact analysis on technology interdependencies.
