Job Description

Position Summary: Researcher will be responsible Carry out routine inorganic Characterization of SG RM and Products using ICP, XRF, CHNS and IC techniques

We expect you have :

• MSc Chemistry, 0-5 year of experience in Inorganic Chemistry in R&D lab or similar with hands on experience in One of XRF/ ICP OES testing {2025 / 2024 MSC Freshers can apply too)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and diverse team
• Ability to travel as needed
• Knowledge of basic statistics and its tools
• Strong analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal, cross-functional teamwork, process improvement and proje management skills
• Ability to manage complexity, handle multiple priorities and prioritize accordingly.

Key Activities

• Safety conscious and experienced in working in R&D/ QC labs
• Preferably Hands on experience on XRF and ICP techniques including sample preparation
• Makes sure Laboratory instruments are well maintained and co-ordinates necessary repairs/maintenance with appropriate service personnel Should be a self-starter. Should be able to work with minimum supervision
• Should be a good record keeper and follow the Saint-Gobain norms in data management.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and other Research Engineers
• Meticulous in prioritizing, planning and execution.
• Good oral, written communication skill. Ability to write Characterization/technical reports.
• Identifies, classifies, labels, and stores hazardous waste samples for disposal knowing that laws governing these procedures are complex and specific.
• Prepares a daily program on the different tasks to be performed in the lab
• Assumes responsibility for the Laboratory cleanliness and its equipment.
• Knowledge of proper safe handling/disposal of chemicals and ability to maintain a clean and sate workspace
• Trained in behavior-based safety and an advocate for safe and responsible laboratory practices.
• Strict compliance to safety, waste management, inventory management and 5S obligations from the site for the lab
