Job Description

As a Technical Writer / Research Ghost-writer, your primary responsibility will be to research and create clear, compelling, and technically accurate documentation, whitepapers, and research publications. You will collaborate closely with engineers, researchers, and product managers to transform complex concepts into refined content that is suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences. Additionally, there may be instances where you will act as a ghost-writer, contributing content that will be published under the name of another individual or team. Your key responsibilities will include researching, drafting, editing, and formatting technical documentation such as APIs, SDKs, protocols, and architecture documents. You will also work on whitepapers, product briefs, and conduct research on products to prepare papers and conference submissions. Collaborating with subject matter experts to gather and synthesize technical information, you will ghost-write content as per guidance from engineers or executives while maintaining the appropriate tone and domain accuracy. It will be essential to ensure that all content aligns with the brand, voice, and industry standards, translating intricate technical topics into structured content suitable for the target audience. Visual aids like diagrams, charts, or visuals can be created to enhance clarity. To excel in this role, you should have proven experience as a technical writer or ghost-writer in a tech, research, or software setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a must, along with a strong understanding of technical domains such as machine learning, cybersecurity, SaaS, cloud computing, etc. Proficiency in documentation tools like Markdown, LaTeX, Confluence, Git, Google Docs is required, supported by a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Journalism, Technical Communication, or a related field. Preferred qualifications include experience in writing academic or conference papers, familiarity with citation and formatting styles such as APA, IEEE, ACM, and a background in working with cross-functional teams including engineering, legal, and product departments. Understanding of SEO best practices for documentation and web content, as well as knowledge of graphic tools like Figma and Lucidchart, will be advantageous. Your success in this role will be measured by the timely delivery of assigned content pieces, positive feedback from subject matter experts and stakeholders, the accuracy and clarity of documentation, and the successful publication or acceptance of whitepapers and research papers. Stay updated on relevant technologies, standards, and best practices in documentation and research writing to ensure continuous improvement and high-quality output.,
