Research Scientist Discovery Chemistry

As a Research Scientist - Chemistry at CreAgro in Udaipur, you will report to the Group Leader and play a crucial role in conducting scientific experiments, analyzing results, and contributing to the discovery of innovative molecules for crop protection and growth. Your primary objective will be to enhance the business value of PI Industries by driving innovation and team performance in alignment with set objectives. You will be responsible for actively embracing the values of PI Industries, contributing to the success of CreAgro Chemistry, and meeting the requirements outlined by the Group Leader and Team Leader. This includes ensuring the security of intellectual property, staying updated on chemistry knowledge through literature scanning, and supporting the Team Leader in target setting and feedback collection. Collaborating with the team, you will work towards surpassing targets set by the Group Leader and Team Leader, while documenting and reporting all research outcomes meticulously. Your role will also involve conducting literature searches, carrying out synthetic experiments safely and efficiently, and providing regular updates on project progress to the Team Leader. Furthermore, you will be expected to foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the team, maintain positive relationships with other departments, and actively participate in technical and functional meetings. Your educational background should include an MSc/PhD in Organic/Analytical Chemistry from a reputable institution, with a preference for post-doctoral research experience. Ideally, you should possess 1-7 years of industry experience as a skilled experimentalist, with a background in discovery, process, or development chemistry. Previous exposure to the agrochemical, fine chemical, or pharmaceutical industries will be advantageous. You should demonstrate proficiency in scientific knowledge, research approach, data analysis, and experimentation skills. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams such as Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry, Biology, and Supply Chain Management, while also interacting with external stakeholders like Chemical Logistics and Service Engineers.
