Job Description

Acquire, synthesize, and analyze data related to building inventories and vulnerabilities using insured loss and insurance claims data worldwide.
Learn and integrate proprietary Verisk datasets into extreme event models.
Conduct analytical research to develop vulnerability functions and loss curves for structural and non-structural components subjected to various atmospheric hazards.
Implement research results into portfolio risk analysis models, including programming loss simulation codes and validating probabilistic risk assessments.
Use GIS and related tools for data visualization and spatial analysis.
Participate in real-time and post-event building damage assessments during natural catastrophes.
Prepare and present research findings at internal staff and external client meetings.
Produce technical documentation for internal use and client-facing materials.
