Research Assistant Chemistry

Role Overview: As a Lab Assistant in the Chemistry department of CreAgro in Udaipur, you will report to the Group Leader and assist research scientists by ensuring timely availability of chemicals and consumables, maintaining cleanliness of the lab, labware, and lab equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare solutions in chemistry labs such as Brine, saturated solution of assigned inorganic salts, normal solution of HCl, and specified solvents. - Prepare TLC staining reagents and cut TLC plates, butter paper, and filter paper for lab scientists. - Coordinate with lab boys for waste disposal and maintain waste solvent disposal data. - Manage the glass washing area, apron room, and all consumable items in the lab from the store. - Maintain glassware and plastic ware inventory in the lab. - Ensure cleanliness of yellow cabinets, solvent area cupboards, chemical cupboards, balance, and balance area regularly. - Assist scientists in hydrogenation experiments, including filling hydrogen balloons. - Reserve daily used solvents and general lab chemicals through SAP. - Manage Xerox paper and stationary items in the office area as needed. - Assist maintenance team in preparing a database of lab instruments for AMC and other records. - Monitor night reactions in all chemistry labs. Qualification Required: - BSc/MSc in Organic/Analytical Chemistry. - 0-2 years of experience working in a lab environment, preferred.
