  Cogniter Technologies is looking for an experienced Sr. System Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across servers, systems, and networks.   Key Responsibilities

  
  

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize servers, systems, and hardware

  • Manage LAN, WAN, VPNs, and other network components

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues

  • Monitor system performance and network activity using monitoring tools

  • Implement and maintain IT security measures, including firewalls and access controls

  • Ensure data protection through regular backups and disaster recovery processes

  • Install, configure, and update applications and system software

  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues to minimize downtime

  • Document system configurations, infrastructure, and troubleshooting processes

  • Collaborate with IT team members on infrastructure upgrades and projects

  Qualifications

  
  

  • Experience: 3–6 years in system administration or IT support

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux systems

    • Expertise in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)

    • Hands-on experience with Active Directory and user account management

    • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex IT issues

    • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery tools

    • Familiarity with IT security best practices

  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation abilities

  Preferred Certifications

  
  

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)

  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+

  • Linux certifications (RHCSA or equivalent)
