We are seeking an experienced Windows and VMware Technical Lead with 1012 years of hands-on expertise in enterprise infrastructure environments. The successful candidate will lead design, implementation, and support of Microsoft Windows Server platforms and VMware virtualization solutions, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of enterprise workloads.

Job Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

a. Lead a team of system administrators and engineers in managing Windows Server and VMware environments.

b. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to the team.

c. Collaborate with architecture and project teams to define infrastructure roadmaps and technology adoption.

Windows Server Administration

a. Oversee administration of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and File/Print services.

b. Manage patching, upgrades, backups, and high-availability clusters (Failover Clustering, DFS, etc.).

c. Troubleshoot performance and stability issues across OS and application layers.

VMware Virtualization:

a. Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, HA/DRS).

b. Optimize resource utilization and maintain capacity planning for large-scale clusters.

c. Implement and manage disaster recovery (Site Recovery Manager or equivalent).

Operations & Support :

a. Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes for Windows/VMware environments.

b. Provide Level 3 escalation support for complex technical issues.

c. Maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base.

Security & Compliance :

a. Ensure security hardening of Windows and VMware platforms in line with organizational and regulatory requirements.

b. Work with InfoSec teams on audits, compliance checks, and vulnerability remediation.

a. Drive automation of routine tasks using PowerShell, vRealize, or other orchestration tools.

b. Explore opportunities for hybrid cloud integration (Azure/VMware Cloud).

Requirement

• 8 12 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure roles, with at least 5 years in a lead/architect capacity.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server administration and related core services (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
• Deep hands-on knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, HA/DRS.
• Experience with Windows Clustering, storage integration, and backup/recovery solutions.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls) as applied to VMware/Windows.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or VMware Cloud) is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
