Repair engineer

Role Overview: As a Repair Engineer Aero Derivative Gas Turbines (Shop support, Departure Records Management) at our Industry & Energy Technology (IET) team, you will play a crucial role in leading the daily engineering support of service shops. Your responsibilities will include ensuring reliability and consistent performance of maintenance activities within the Aero Derivative Gas Turbines area. Key Responsibilities: - Support maintenance execution in the service shop, including inspection and disposition of components. - Ensure dis-positioning activities are carried out, following the latest shop practices, and report outstanding recurrent findings to the repair engineering teams. - Support operational targets such as the Turn Around Time and risk-based evaluation and mitigation action definitions. - Prepare technical documentation for internal reviews of the project and be accountable for the applicable action items. - Lead technical investigations and Root Cause Analysis activities on gas turbine components. - Support the development of repair and inspection technologies, process qualification, and industrialization, related program deliverables to repair facilities. - Apply existing technologies, approaches, methodologies in new combinations to design new products, systems, or processes. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, Master's degree preferred. - In-depth working experience in a turbo machinery service shop. - Previous relevant experience working on Aero/Aviation Derivative Gas Turbines. - Previous experience in developing and managing technical investigations.
