We are looking for a results-driven Technical Sales Engineer to join our team and drive solar energy adoption through expert consultation and tailored solutions. Responsibilities Lead Generation & Client Engagement Identify potential clients in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Generate leads through cold calls, site visits, networking, exhibitions, and digital platforms. Qualify prospects by understanding their energy needs, consumption, and financial capacity. Technical & Commercial Consultation Conduct site assessments (using tools like Google Earth, Helioscope, PVsyst or other comparable tool) to evaluate solar feasibility. Prepare technical proposals, energy generation reports, and ROI calculations. Suggest optimal system sizing (kWp), module selection, inverter configuration, and mounting structure. Explain financial benefits such as payback period, IRR, and savings over the system life. Proposal & Quotation Development Work with the design and estimation team to prepare accurate BOQ, costings, and techno-commercial offers. Draft customized proposals based on client load profiles, available rooftop area, and budget. Present and negotiate EPC contracts, ensuring competitive yet profitable pricing. Sales Negotiation & Closure Address client queries related to technical details, pricing, warranties, and approvals. Handle objections effectively and guide clients through decision-making. Achieve sales targets and convert proposals into signed EPC contracts. Coordination with Engineering & Project Teams Liaise with design, procurement, and execution departments for project feasibility and delivery timelines. Ensure smooth transition from sales to project execution with complete documentation and client expectations. Client Relationship Management Maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and referrals. Provide after-sales technical support and handle warranty or performance-related issues. Regulatory & Documentation Support Assist clients with DISCOM net-metering applications, subsidy processes, and compliance documentation. Stay updated with MNRE, MEDA, and state solar policy guidelines. Reporting & Market Intelligence Maintain CRM records of leads, pipeline, and sales conversions. Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and new solar technologies. Report weekly/monthly sales performance to management. Requirements: 1-2 years of experience in the solar industry required. Personal vehicle and driving license required. Proven track record in sales, preferably in renewable energy, technology, or related sectors Strong understanding of OPEX and CAPEX, with the ability to effectively communicate financial models to clients. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. A passion for renewable energy and sustainability. Willingness to travel across India as required. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Experience in startup environments is a plus.
