Relief General Kitchen Assistant

As a General Kitchen Assistant at Bridgend County Borough Council, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation, presentation, and service of school meals in a safe and clean environment for pupils and staff. You will have the opportunity to work across 56 schools, providing support during the mid-morning break and lunchtime periods on weekdays during term time. Your duties will include setting up dining tables and chairs, operating touch screen terminals (with training provided), and ensuring a hygienic food service environment. It is essential that you hold a Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate, though training can be arranged if needed. Flexibility to cover various schools within the County Borough is a key aspect of this role. The working hours for this position will be confirmed upon appointment and will fall between 10.00am and 2.30pm.
