Release Train Engineer

Position Must Haves

1. Total 12+ years of experience working in Agile
2. 5+ years of experience working in SAFe
3. 5+ Years experience working as Scrum Master
4. 2+ years of experience working as RTE
5. Graduate in any discipline with on the job IT Delivery experience
6. MBA will be an added advantage

Position Overall Skills Needed

1. Certified Release Train Engineer with strong experience in driving product development in an Agile way
2. Strong knowledge of Agile tools JIRA and Confluence
3. Strong Application development and project management background
4. Agile and Digital delivery experience is a must
5. Strong Project Management experience
6. Operate effectively in a matrix structure
7. Good Communication skills written and verbal
8. Be proactive, open and honest in communicating with management as well as client
9. Ability to discuss and gather requirements from the business and provide solutions
10. Ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues
11. Ability to prepare comprehensive status reports, perform management reviews

Position Key Responsibilities & Outcomes

1. Responsible for planning, monitoring and tracking the project activities taken up by Scrum teams as part SmartNow Project
2. Drive Agile implementation across program
3. Co-ordinate with all project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the project
4. Work with Program Management team in Releases planning activities. Ex: Drafting Release calendar, track Release activities, draft Release Notes
5. Advocate and adopt SAFe best practices and procedures
6. Plan, form Agile Release Train/s
7. Pre-Plan, Plan, Drive Program Planning meetings
8. Work with teams in Agile Release Train to prioritize features
9. Plan and drive Product Council meeting with Product Owners/Business Analysts
10. Help PO/BA in quantifying Business Value of Epics, Features. Help them in arriving at prioritizing Epics, Features
11. Organizing and driving SAFe events
12. Drive cross team collaboration ART. Resolve departmental impediments
13. Define program and Train KPIs. Drive value delivery and bring improvement
14. Creation of timelines, setting milestones, cadence. Prepare detailed activities, sprint plan and PI Plan
15. Prepare periodic status reports, management presentations as needed
16. Drive execution in an Agile way
17. Maintain project risks and issues, provide visibility to risks to senior management based on risk score
