Job Description

As a Release and DevOps Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in managing the build, packaging, and deployment of our software applications across various environments. Your primary focus will be on implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices, designing automated pipelines, and ensuring the acceleration of software delivery while enhancing system reliability. Collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams will be essential to guarantee high-quality, timely, and consistent software releases. Your responsibilities will include coordinating all aspects of the software release lifecycle, automating build, test, and deployment processes for multiple environments, and optimizing deployment strategies to minimize risks. You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bamboo, Bitbucket, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. Monitoring pipeline failures, troubleshooting release-related issues, and integrating security scanning into pipelines will also be part of your duties. Furthermore, your role will involve managing version control, branching, and merging strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and execute release schedules, and ensuring that releases adhere to best practices, security standards, compliance requirements, and rollback protocols. Monitoring application performance post-deployment and continuous enhancement of release processes through automation and tooling improvements will be essential aspects of your job. To excel in this position, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of overall experience and a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps with a CI/CD focus. Previous experience as a software engineer, expertise in pipeline automation and scripting, solid knowledge of version control systems (especially Git), and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) are highly desired. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and a good understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes will be beneficial for this role. Please note that as part of the recruitment process, applicants may be required to appear onsite at a Wolters Kluwer office. Join us in this dynamic role where you can contribute to the seamless delivery of software solutions and the enhancement of system reliability through effective release and DevOps practices.,
