Release and Compliance (Test Manager)

As a Release and Compliance (Test Manager) at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our software products. Your responsibilities will include: - Serving as the Scrum Master for the testing team, guiding agile practices and ensuring smooth sprint execution. - Defining the overall approach, test strategy, and objectives for the projects. - Creating detailed test plans including scope, objectives, schedule, resource requirements, and deliverables, entry/exit criteria. - Planning timeline and defining the scope of test execution for app releases. - Establishing and optimizing the testing lifecycle. - Identifying, evaluating testing risks, and defining mitigation strategies. - Monitoring test progress, implementing control measures, and participating in program-level syncs to align with overall project objectives. - Creating and presenting regular status reports or dashboards and using the metrics to assess product quality and test effectiveness. - Coordinating project test team resources for continuous testing and system verifications. - Clarifying cross-team issues and resolving interdependencies. - Ensuring test coverage, completeness, and traceability. - Maintaining testing and issue backlog. - Keeping an overview of the current app quality status and being the SPOC for app quality issues. In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be involved in Regulatory Test Management, where you will: - Create, maintain, and own regulatory test documentation. - Own and drive the change management process. - Ensure adherence to organizational QA policies, standards, and procedures. - Contribute to the release process and co-work with the Release Engineer and Release Manager. - Fulfill the role of a regulatory Test Manager (e.g., in Design Reviews and for document releases). - Contribute to internal and external audits. - Provide continuous coaching to the team on regulatory compliance. Your technical and process knowledge will be crucial in this role, as you will need to have: - Experience and expertise in manual and automation testing with sound knowledge. - Deep knowledge and experience in Software Testing Life Cycle, Methodologies, Test techniques, and levels. - Excellent knowledge of Agile Methodology. - Experience in mobile app testing for Android and iOS. - Ideally, knowledge in medical product testing. - Experience in automation testing. - Experience in test management and defect management tools like DevOps, ALM, TFS, or other similar tools. - Experience in CI/CD. - Logging defects in test management tools as per project standards and investigating/troubleshooting system failures. Your collaboration and responsibility will be key in this role, where you will: - Be able to communicate with key stakeholders on test plans. - Adhere to test schedules and own the responsibility for the quality of the product to be delivered. - Enable the existing team for self-empowered maintenance of legacy apps. - Support ramp-up of the test team, evaluate team resource needs, and support the hiring process. Coach and mentor new hires. - Contribute to defining new processes, procedures, and structures. Continuous improvement is essential in this role, where you will: - Conduct root cause analysis for escaped defects. - Identify gaps in current processes and propose improvements. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging testing practices.
