The Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) is responsible for establishing and enhancing the presence of the Medical and Patient Affairs Department within the designated region. This field-based, project-focused role is centered on fostering relationships with key external stakeholders, especially Therapeutic Area Experts (TAEs), and executing specific medical projects. The RMA will act as a therapeutic area professional, providing reliable, evidence-based scientific, clinical, and product-related information to external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with all relevant company procedures, codes of practice, and regulations. The primary goal is to maintain and elevate the scientific image of the company through strategic and effective engagement with key experts, stakeholders, and healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities: Scientific Leadership and Relationship Building: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the latest scientific and medical knowledge within the relevant therapeutic area. Build and nurture strong professional relationships with TAEs through credible and impactful scientific exchanges. Regularly update and map key TAEs within the region to ensure alignment with the broader medical strategy. Medical Insights and Strategic Planning: Capture valuable clinical insights from TAEs to inform the development of Medical Action Plans, TAE Interaction Plans, and support for product and medical strategies. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the integration of medical insights into business and scientific strategies. Internal Collaboration and Training: Act as a key field-based resource of scientific and clinical expertise for internal teams. Support the development and delivery of scientific training to field-based commercial teams to enhance their therapeutic area knowledge. Medical Information and Support: Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare practitioners (HCPs) regarding marketed products and pipeline therapies, including off-label information, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Clinical Research and Development Support: Support ongoing and future company-sponsored or investigator-initiated studies within the designated therapeutic area. Contribute to the development of clinical research programs, national disease registries, and real-world evidence (RWE) projects. Patient Awareness and Advocacy: Support patient awareness initiatives, both physical and digital, to better understand the patient journey and improve patient outcomes in collaboration with TAEs. Educational Requirements: Essential: MBBS MD (Pharmacology) Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with a background in Diabetes, Cardiology, or Cardio-Metabolic therapy will be prioritized. Experience Requirements: Essential: 1-2 years of experience in a medical affairs or related role. Previous experience in a role such as Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Regional Medical Advisor (RMA), or Medical Executive is highly desirable.
