Job Description

As a receptionist/administrator at the AHP Admin Team based at the Borders General Hospital, your role involves providing reception cover, booking appointments, adding referrals, answering telephone calls, and managing inboxes. The AHP Admin Team supports various services including Physiotherapy, Speech and Language, Podiatry, Orthotics, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, and Art Therapy. Key Responsibilities: - Provide reception cover and manage appointments - Add referrals and assist in administrative tasks - Answer telephone calls and manage inboxes effectively Qualifications Required: - Good communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues - Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently - Capability to work independently or as part of a team - Proficiency in IT skills and computer literacy You will be required to work 17 hours per week, either from Wednesday to Friday or Tuesday to Friday. Please be aware that the salary mentioned is for full-time hours (37 hrs per week) and will be pro-rata for part-time hours. Due to legislative changes from April 1, 2025, this role may require a different level of criminal records check. To work in the United Kingdom, you must demonstrate the relevant permission to work, granted by the UK Visa and Immigrations Service.
