Job Description

Real estate developers are responsible for acquiring, developing, and managing properties from conception to completion. Their duties include project planning, securing financing, navigating legal and regulatory hurdles, coordinating construction, and managing the marketing, sales, or leasing of the finished project. They manage all aspects of the development process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet project objectives. Key duties and responsibilities

Project planning and development:
Identify and assess potential development opportunities, define the project's scope and vision, and coordinate the planning process with architects and other professionals.
Acquisition and financing:
Purchase land or existing properties, and secure the necessary funding through loans, investors, or other financial institutions to cover all project costs.
Legal and regulatory compliance:
Obtain permits and approvals, ensure compliance with zoning laws and building codes, and manage all legal documentation.
Construction and project management:
Hire and manage contractors, oversee the construction process to ensure it stays on schedule and within budget, and coordinate with the entire project team.
Marketing and sales:
Develop a marketing strategy for the completed project and handle the sales or leasing of the properties to the final customers.
Post-construction management:
Manage the property after completion, which can include maintenance and tenant/buyer relations.
Budget and risk management:
Manage the project budget, track expenses, and identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder coordination:
Liaise with investors, public officials, the community, and the project team to ensure everyone is aligned and informed.
