React Software Engineer, AVP

As a Software Engineer, you will engineer and maintain innovative, customer-centric, high-performance, secure, and robust solutions. Working within a feature team, you will develop complex software, scripts, and tools while liaising with engineers, architects, and business analysts across the platform. This role offers the opportunity to advance technical skills and build a wide network of stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce complex and critical software rapidly and with high quality to add value to the business.
• Work in permanent teams responsible for the full software lifecycle, from development and enhancement to maintenance or decommissioning.
• Design, produce, test, and implement working code, ensuring solutions are maintainable and robust.
• Work across the lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Collaborate to optimise software engineering capabilities and leverage reusable enterprise components.
• Stay up to date with modern front-end technologies and best practices, implementing them within projects.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of eight years of experience in front-end development using React.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML5.
• Experience developing reusable React.js components and writing clean, well-documented, and testable code using unit tests.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools; ability to build project-specific front-end applications using shared enterprise frameworks/components.
• Strong proficiency in integrating with RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous requests.
• Understanding and experience with CI/CD principles and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of implementing programming best practices around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability, and performance.
