React Developer (Contract - Full Time Remote)

About the Role

Were looking for a talented React Developer to join our growing team and contribute to building a market-leading catering software platform that supports aged care and healthcare facilities. You’ll play a key role in creating an elegant, functional, and reliable application that makes a real difference to the quality of care and dining experiences.

This is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday). You’ll work remotely using your own equipment, and we’ll provide access to all required software and tools. You’ll invoice fortnightly for hours worked.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain high-quality front-end components using React and Tailwind CSS
• Collaborate closely with backend developers and designers to deliver seamless, responsive user experiences
• Integrate and consume RESTful APIs
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning
• Write clean, reusable, and well-tested code
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both development and production environments
• Contribute ideas to continuously improve UI/UX and product performance
• Conduct peer code reviews and uphold high coding standards

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years’ experience building web applications using React v17+.
• Solid understanding of JSX, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5,and CSS3.
• Experience integrating working with Axios and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Laravel or backend collaboration workflows
• Understanding of state management (e.g., Redux)
• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Experience with Tailwind CSS, Inertia.js, or TypeScript
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development environments
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or AWS-based deployments
