R&D Test lab Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for identifying, exploring, and implementing technology/product development and growth strategies to enhance and secure global positioning. Your role will involve ensuring project execution, fostering innovation, and developing and securing R&D capabilities in the business for profitability. Additionally, you will devise research methods, focus on future technical direction, future scenarios in transforming technology landscape, and prepare technical specifications and specify laboratory test equipment and processes. Key Responsibilities: - Procure new machines for the new Capacitor testing lab - Commission the lab equipment - Build a safety culture in the lab - Obtain and maintain lab certification - Test MV capacitors as per relevant IS/IEC/IEEE standards in all 3 shifts - Support GPS/Engineering/production with the outcome of testing - Follow and maintain the standard procedure of change management for every workflow - Create development reports, analysis reports, assembly & test instructions, etc. - Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with various cross-functional stakeholders - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines Qualifications Required: - Diploma in Electrical Engineering/B.E. in Electrical Engineering - 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role - Proficiency in both spoken and written English language Company Details: Hitachi Energy is a global technology leader in electrification, powering a sustainable energy future through innovative power grid technologies with digital at the core.
