R&D Staff in Systems and ML

As a Research Staff at DREAM:Lab, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, you will be part of a dynamic team working on cutting-edge research and development projects in the areas of Machine Learning across Edge accelerators, Cloud platforms, and Quantum computing. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with PhD students and faculty, developing software prototypes, optimizing models, and conducting experiments on real cloud, edge, and accelerated hardware. You will also have the opportunity to publish research in top-tier conferences and journals. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with PhD students and faculty to design scalable software platforms and distributed algorithms - Develop software prototypes and optimize LLM/GNN/DNN models - Conduct large-scale experiments on real cloud, edge, and accelerated hardware - Publish research in top-tier conferences and journals Qualifications: - Education: B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science, ECE, or related fields (within the last 5 years). M.S./M.Tech./Ph.D. holders are also welcome. - Experience: 1-2 years of industry experience is strongly encouraged. - Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in Python; experience with large codebases. Knowledge of Java, C, C++, GoLang, etc. is a plus. Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), cloud computing, edge accelerators (e.g., Jetson), GPU programming. Proficiency in Linux, scripting, automation, debugging, cluster management. Competitive coding experience is an advantage.
