R&D Senior Testing & Lab Specialist

As an R&D Senior Testing & Lab Specialist at ABB, you will play a crucial role in planning and executing tests on various products in different testing laboratories using standard methodologies and requirements. Your responsibilities will include working independently, ensuring compliance with established standards, providing guidance to other professionals, and meticulously documenting test results. This role, based in Bengaluru, India, within the Electrification Business, is integral to the testing and validation of low voltage switchgear products in accordance with relevant IS/IEC standards. Your key accountabilities will involve coordinating with external certification bodies for national and international certifications, creating testing dashboards and plans based on product standards, establishing and maintaining testing procedures for raw materials and finished products, as well as thoroughly documenting all research and development-related validation and testing phases. To qualify for this role, you must hold a degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering from a reputable institute and possess a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for efficiently addressing technical challenges. Your proven expertise in product testing and validation, along with proficiency in Creo, Windchill/PDM & PLM software, will be invaluable in fulfilling the requirements of this position.
