R&D Engr/Scientist II

As an R&D II Engineer/Scientist in the Process Design and Development (PDD) team at Honeywell UOP, your primary role will involve developing material balances for new process technology concepts. This will be based on preliminary yield and performance estimates. You will utilize commercial process simulation software to establish the basis for the evaluation and optimization of design concepts. Additionally, you will apply engineering design practices and standards to perform preliminary sizing and costing of major equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Develop material balances for new process technology concepts - Utilize commercial process simulation software for evaluation and optimization of design concepts - Apply engineering design practices for sizing and costing of major equipment - Interface with engineering specialists and vendors to generate preliminary designs and cost estimates - Perform techno-economic analyses of process concepts - Generate basic engineering design packages - Identify novel design concepts and author invention disclosures Qualifications Required: - Minimum of bachelor's degree (B. Tech. / B.E.) in Chemical Engineering from a recognized Institute - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Technology, Engineering, Research & Development, or Technical Service role within refining, petrochemical, or gas processing industries - Strong interest in Development work In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects and contribute to the innovation effort at Honeywell UOP.
