R&D Engineer

As an R&D Engineer at Ubisoft, your role will involve developing state-of-the-art and robust Automation Framework in game testing. You will work closely with the Automation Team Lead to design and develop tools or applications that will streamline processes and reduce manual efforts. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with development teams, QC leads, and managers to understand requirements, identify QC needs, and deliver sustainable solutions. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - Deliver tasks within stipulated timeframes, seeking regular feedback on progress - Identify requirements and acceptance criteria for assigned tasks - Develop a strong understanding of DTest framework and integrate code with game to DTest - Assist in software design and coding under the guidance of the development manager - Evaluate operational feasibility, analyze problems, and propose solutions - Study information needs, confer with users, and study systems flow to develop software solutions - Investigate and debug code to identify and resolve issues - Adhere to the software development lifecycle stages followed by the team or project - Monitor the technical performance of internal systems - Document solutions through various means such as flowcharts, diagrams, and code comments In addition to your core responsibilities, here are the core competencies expected from you: - Understanding of Software Development and Testing lifecycle processes - Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities - Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration - Flexibility in organizing work based on requirements - Ability to work independently or as part of a team - Openness to feedback and adaptability in a fast-paced environment - Motivated, quick learner with an innovative mindset - Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in identifying and debugging code bugs When it comes to technical competencies, you should have: - Proficiency in C++ and C#, along with good coding practices - Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, etc. - Knowledge of Versioning/source-code-control systems Your qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science.
