We are now looking to onboard a visionary Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy as we scale operations, attract investment, and deepen our environmental impact. Position Overview: As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the company, ensuring strong financial health, compliance, and strategic foresight. You’ll work closely with the CEO and leadership team to align our business and financial objectives with our long-term sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities: Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Develop investor-ready financial models and participate in fundraising, grant applications, and impact investment rounds. Present timely and insightful financial reports to founders, investors, and the board. Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations (Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, etc.). Establish strong internal controls and oversee external audits and risk mitigation strategies. Liaise with banks, government bodies, grant agencies, and impact investors. Drive cost optimization and revenue forecasting strategies. Lead financial due diligence for partnerships, mergers, or acquisitions. Build and manage a high-performing finance and accounts team as the company grows. Requirements : Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience. Prior experience in a startup, impact-driven venture, or high-growth SME is preferred. Strong grasp of accounting standards, compliance, taxation, and financial operations. Proven ability to manage financial strategy, reporting, and investor relations. Passion for sustainability, climate innovation, and purpose-driven work. Proficiency with financial tools (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Excel modeling). Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Preferred Attributes : Experience in climate-tech, clean-tech, ESG-driven companies, or mission-oriented startups. Familiarity with carbon markets, ESG metrics, climate finance, or green funding instruments. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and mission-driven environment.
