As a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Routing & Fitting with over 10 years of experience, you will be responsible for performing 3D and 2D mechanical design annotations and deliverables in compliance with QCD commitments, Metier rules, and processes. Your duties will include modeling and storing allocated volumes and interfaces for sub-systems/components in the Digital Mock-Up, as well as conducting Detailed Design on internal sub-systems. You will also be required to fill-up attributes for each part in the Digital Mock-Up, ensuring naming, material, Fire & Smoke compliance, and more. Verifying the consistency of the digital mock-up and ensuring compliance with requirements such as allocated volumes, weight, and interfaces within the assigned scope will be a crucial part of your role. You will prepare and document Domain Design Reviews, update the Digital Mock-Up based on Change Requests, and check CADs" and sub-contractors" Design Quality. Additionally, conducting stack-up analysis, creating the Bill of Material, and managing Mechanical/Piping Domain activities in the assigned zone will be essential tasks. Applying Train Design rules, processes, and tools, you will ensure the quality of Domain deliverables and their acceptance by the Customer within committed limits. Designing products while considering project requirements such as performances, manufacturability, serviceability, and testability will be part of your responsibilities. You will also be expected to resolve Project issues in the assigned zone, report on Mechanical/Piping Domain activities progress, and alert relevant stakeholders in case of any issues potentially impacting QCD commitments. Your role will involve respecting and allocating requirements and interfaces to Sub-Systems/equipment, validating Domain deliverables, and securing planning. Additionally, you will perform the quotation of engineering work-packages upon request and define Project Decomposition (PBS; product breakdown structure). You will be leading the Configuration and Change Management (CCM) activities in the Project/Program, adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct. You will apply Configuration and Change standard procedures, instructions, templates, etc., and ensure that team members do not bypass them. Representing the CCM Mtier in project and site meetings, you will perform REX for CCM and lead improvements of the CCM activities within your Program/Project and also within the CCM Mtier. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the activities and Roles & Responsibilities defined in the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) are applied and followed, ensuring Configuration and Change Management applicable tools are applied, evaluating and providing or approving the compliance statement on all CCM related requirements (i.e., customer, partner, and internal). Your role will also involve executing CCM audits and DfQ Gates for CCM deliverables, managing a team of Configuration and Change Managers when applicable, contributing to CCM training materials development, and performing training when required/requested. Additionally, you will perform configuration management activities such as identification, management, and accuracy of items under configuration control. You will prepare Configuration Strategy and release notes for Configuration Baselines, ensuring the establishment of the Configuration Status Accounting Report (CSAR) and monitoring its compliance. You are required to have mandatory knowledge of railway products, railway solutions, systems, and components, as well as knowledge of CCM tools. Effective communication with all involved project/program stakeholders is essential, along with proficiency in English and German languages. Your systematic, rigorous, proactive, and organized approach, attention to detail, and ability to contribute to continuous improvement on processes and standards for CCM will be crucial. Leadership skills, the ability to lead Change Boards, prioritize Change Requests, facilitate event management, and coordinate a team of professionals engaged in CCM activities are also expected. Moreover, you should possess good knowledge of Microsoft Office, be trained to a recognized Configuration and Change Management standard, and demonstrate comprehensive communication and negotiation skills.
