Raid on illegal sauce factory

You were involved in a major crackdown on food safety violations where an illegal sauce manufacturing unit was raided in Kamre, Ranchi. The raid, led by the Food Safety Officer and in coordination with officials from the Ratu police station, revealed that the factory was operating without a valid license. A total of 4,020 liters of sauce and 960 liters of vinegar were confiscated during the inspection, and samples of both products have been sent to a laboratory for further testing. The operation was conducted under the supervision of the Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) and the Deputy Food Safety Commissioner of Jharkhand. It was reported that strict action will be taken against the factory owner once the test results are obtained, in accordance with the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. Apart from the licensing violations, it was found that the factory was maintaining unhygienic conditions. Legal action will be taken against the facility for the poor sanitation standards observed. This raid is part of an ongoing statewide initiative to ensure food safety and clamp down on unlicensed and hazardous food manufacturing units throughout Jharkhand.,
