Job Summary:

Radiology Typist

Key Responsibilities:

Transcribe and type radiologists dictated reports including
X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Mammography
.
Format, proofread, and edit medical reports for accuracy and clarity.
Ensure timely delivery of reports to patients or respective departments.
Work closely with radiologists, technicians, and administrative staff.
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records and reports.
Input data into hospital software systems (PACS/RIS/HIS) efficiently.
Follow proper medical and radiological terminology and abbreviations.
Assist in maintaining records and archiving old reports when needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum
HSC or Graduate
in any stream.
Certification in Medical Transcription
(preferred but not mandatory).
1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role in a hospital or diagnostic center

Skills Required:

typing speed

Strong knowledge of
medical and radiology terminology
.
Proficient in
Microsoft Word
, hospital software, and reporting systems (PACS/RIS/HIS).
Good command of
English grammar and medical language
.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Candidate:

Previous experience in
radiology departments
.
Familiar with
digital dictation systems
and
voice-to-text transcription tools
.
Willing to work in rotational shifts (if applicable).
