Job Description

Role & responsibilities Reads the request form, check all patient information like name, age, history & checks that the investigation ordered & Billing is clear Checks that the investigation ordered is in RIS. Appraises the patient on nature of investigation. Informs the patient relative/ nurse/ attendant to be in waiting area till the investigation is done Prepares the patient (if required) before conducting the X-ray/ Fluoroscopy study, positions the patient and the X-ray tube as required. Uses the correct film size & set the appropriate exposure factor KVp ,mAs Places the identification maker on the cassette (for portable x-ray) Exposes the film & Process the film and take a print out in case of computerized radiography/ digital radiography. Transfers the images to PACS Assess radiographic anatomy & assess for overall density & contrast level. Puts barcode on the film and the folder & puts the film in the right folder Gives the film to the radiologists for reporting/ to the patient/ floor/ dispatch room, as the case may be & make appropriate entries in the RIS. Carries the portable x-ray apparatus and take radiographs of seriously ill patients across the hospital. Preferred candidate profile Candidate must be Diploma in Radiology or B.SC in Radiology. Candidate must have experience of atleast 3 Yrs + experience.
