Job Title:

Radiology Medical Coder

Location:

Qualification:

Key Responsibilities:

Review radiology reports and accurately assign appropriate
ICD-10-CM
,
CPT
, and
HCPCS
codes based on documentation.
Ensure correct coding for various radiology procedures including
X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, Ultrasounds
, and
Interventional Radiology
.
Validate medical necessity and coding accuracy in compliance with payer guidelines.
Collaborate with radiologists and billing teams to resolve documentation or coding discrepancies.
Keep updated with changes in radiology coding guidelines, payer policies, and compliance regulations.
Meet or exceed daily productivity and accuracy benchmarks.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of
Radiology CPT codes
,
ICD-10-CM
, and
HCPCS Level II
coding.
Familiarity with
US healthcare RCM
cycle and radiology billing practices.
Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or specialty radiology coding certification preferred.
Working knowledge of
NCCI edits
,
LCD/NCD policies
, and
modifiers
relevant to radiology.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills.
