To diagnose and treat disease and injury, using medical imaging techniques such as x-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography (PET), fusion imaging, and ultrasound.
1. Performing & reporting radiological investigations & procedures (Departmental as well as Bed side)
2. Responsible for radiation protection programme
3. Periodic checking of emergency drugs / lifesaving equipment in work area
4. Participating in administrative / academic meetings and interdepartmental meetings
5. Approving and supervising policies, procedures and processes pertaining to the department.
6. Approving and implementation of departmental SOPs
7. Scheduling of doctors duty in the department
8. Sanctioning of leaves to repartee.
9. Stock maintenance
10. Appraisals of reportees
11. Taking disciplinary action
12. Signing / modification of radiological reports
13. Modifying imaging protocols as per requirement
14. Signing of analytical / departmental report(s)
15. Attrition of staff
