Job Description

You will be responsible for the following tasks: - Verifying patients' identity and reviewing physician's orders before starting x-ray procedures. - Operating x-ray equipment to capture radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs based on physicians' written orders. - Explaining x-ray procedures to patients and addressing any inquiries they may have. - Properly positioning patients, which may involve lifting and transferring patients with limited mobility. - Minimizing patients' exposure to radiation by placing lead shields as necessary. - Ensuring the quality of x-rays taken to avoid the need for repeat procedures. - Collaborating closely with the resident Radiologist to assess the need for additional tests. - Maintaining the x-ray equipment by ensuring regular servicing and proper functioning. - Promptly reporting any damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment to management. - Keeping an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures. Qualifications Required: - Previous experience in operating x-ray equipment and performing radiographic procedures. - Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures. - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Please note that this is a full-time position with benefits including paid sick time. The work schedule is during the day shift, and the job location is in Chandigarh, Chandigarh.
