Radiographer(X-Ray)

As an X-Ray Technologist, your primary role will involve verifying patients" identity and reviewing physicians" orders before conducting x-ray procedures. You will be responsible for using x-ray equipment to capture radiographic images of patients" bones, tissues, and organs as per the physician's written orders. Additionally, you will need to explain x-ray procedures to patients, answer their queries, and position them accordingly, which may involve lifting and moving patients with limited mobility. It is crucial to limit patients" exposure to radiation by placing lead shields where necessary and ensuring that the x-rays taken are of high quality to avoid repeat procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Verify patients" identity and review physicians" orders before conducting x-ray procedures. - Use x-ray equipment to capture radiographic images of patients" bones, tissues, and organs. - Explain x-ray procedures to patients and address their questions. - Position patients accurately, including lifting and moving those with limited mobility. - Limit patients" exposure to radiation by using lead shields when needed. - Ensure the quality of x-rays taken to prevent the need for repeat procedures. - Collaborate with the resident Radiologist to determine the necessity of further tests. - Maintain the x-ray equipment by ensuring regular servicing and proper functioning. - Report any damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment promptly. - Keep an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures. Qualifications Required: - Prior experience as a X-Ray Technologist or in a similar role. - Certification in radiography or a related field. - Strong understanding of x-ray procedures and equipment. - Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff. - Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team. - Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of x-ray images.
