Job Overview The Junior Radiology Technician position at Spandana Hospital seeks a motivated individual to join our team in Bangalore. The Radiology Technician will operate critical imaging equipment, perform scans, and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive high-quality care. Qualifications and Skills Proven experience in operating radiology equipment is mandatory for ensuring accuracy and precision in imaging. Expertise in handling X-ray imaging equipment, which is crucial for producing detailed radiographs (Mandatory skill). Proficiency in MRI scanning, to create high-resolution images using magnetic resonance technology (Mandatory skill). Skill in patient positioning to ensure optimal imaging results and patient comfort during procedures. Familiarity with PACS systems for effectively storing, retrieving, and managing digital medical images. Strong understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals. Ability to perform quality assurance tests on equipment to maintain high standards of operation and safety. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact compassionately and professionally with patients and healthcare staff. Roles and Responsibilities Operate radiology equipment including X-ray machines and MRI scanners to perform diagnostic imaging procedures. Position patients accurately to obtain the necessary images while ensuring their safety and comfort. Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to interpret radiographic results and deliver patient care. Maintain radiology equipment to guarantee proper functionality and safety according to departmental protocols. Ensure adherence to safety standards and radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff. Document procedure details and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures regarding radiological services. Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with advancements in radiology technology.

Key Responsibilities : Patient Care and Communication : Interact with patients, explain procedures, and address their concerns to ensure their comfort and cooperation during the imaging process. Obtain relevant medical history, assess patient condition, and ensure appropriate patient positioning for accurate imaging. Diagnostic Imaging Procedures : Operate a variety of imaging equipment, such as X - ray machines, CT scanners, MRI scanners, ultrasound machines, or nuclear medicine cameras, depending on your area of specialization. Follow established protocols to perform imaging examinations and capture high - quality images. Equipment Operation and Maintenance : Set up and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues. Report any malfunctions or equipment failures to appropriate personnel for timely repairs. Documentation and Record - Keeping : Maintain accurate and complete records of patient information, imaging procedures performed, and associated documentation in accordance with hospital or department policies. Enter relevant data into the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
