Radio System PHY Specialist

As a PHY Radio System Expert in Ceragon's Radio R&D group, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge millimeter wave communication systems. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the performance and integration of modem, RF, and antenna components to deliver high-speed Gigabit connectivity in various configurations. You will play a crucial role in driving performance optimization at the PHY layer to meet and exceed system performance targets. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing the development of Control and Calibration Algorithms for RFIC and Modem components, suggesting improvements in PHY Algorithms, and managing the full development lifecycle from early design to production transfer. You will serve as a knowledge expert for modem/system integration with RF and antenna components, guiding research on optimization techniques, and algorithms for seamless integration of Analog, DSP, and MAC portions. To qualify for this role, you should have a B.E. or B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering, with an M.E. or M.Tech. being an advantage. You should possess a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in designing RF and Modem-based systems, proficiency in C/C++, Matlab, and Python programming, and expertise in DSP & Communications. Previous experience in wireless communication protocols, modem algorithms, millimeter wave frequency bands, and Agile project environments is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a broad vision as a system engineer, excellent design and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead independent research on new topics. You should be passionate about mentoring and developing team members, possess strong analytical and hands-on skills, and have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
