Radio System PHY Expert

As a PHY Radio System Expert at Ceragon's Radio R&D group, you will be a key player in ensuring the performance and integration of modem, RF, and antenna components in the cutting-edge millimeter wave communications systems developed by Ceragon. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the development of Control and Calibration Algorithms for RFIC and Modem components, suggesting improvements in PHY Algorithms in the PHY Firmware code, driving performance optimization of the PHY layer, and ensuring overall system performance meets or exceeds targets. Additionally, you will be serving as a knowledge expert for modem/system integration with RF and antenna components, managing the full development lifecycle from early design to production transfer and maintenance, and conducting research on optimization techniques and algorithms for seamless integration of Analog, DSP, and MAC portions with RF, modem, and antenna components. To qualify for this role, you should hold a B.E. or B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from a major university, with an M.E. or M.Tech. being an advantage. You should have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in designing RF and Modem-based systems, along with proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Matlab, and Python. Previous experience in DSP & Communications, familiarity with wireless communication protocols, systems engineering expertise in Modem Algorithms, experience with millimeter wave frequency bands, and working knowledge of Lab Equipment & Field issues are also required. Experience in an Agile environment and familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git for project tracking, documentation, and version control are preferred.
