Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Candidate should willing to work in Khammam location in Telangana state located 200KM from Hyderabad.

. Regulatory Compliance & Licensing

AERB/NRC Liaison:
Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies for all licensing, renewals, and decommissioning.
Site Approvals:
Oversee the planning and layout approval of high-energy installations (LINAC bunkers, PET-CT rooms) to ensure structural shielding meets safety standards.
Documentation:
Maintain all statutory records, including source inventory, movement logs, and disposal certificates of radioactive waste.

Radiation Protection & ALARA

Dose Monitoring:
Manage the Personnel Monitoring Service (TLD/Film badges). Investigate any "over-exposure" incidents and report them to the competent authority.
Area Surveys:
Conduct regular radiological surveys of controlled areas (treatment rooms) and supervised areas (waiting rooms, consoles) to ensure no radiation leakage.
Safety Interlocks:
Periodically test all safety interlocks, emergency switches, and radiation warning lights.

Clinical Quality Assurance (QA)

Equipment Calibration:
Collaborate with Medical Physicists to ensure the calibration of radiation-producing equipment is accurate.
Quality Control:
Establish and implement a robust QA program for treatment machines and diagnostic imaging equipment (CT/PET-CT).
Waste Management:
Oversee the safe storage and disposal of radioactive waste, particularly in Nuclear Medicine and Brachytherapy.
