Quantity Surveyor Billing Engineer Exp- 8+years Location : Kolkata Job Description 1. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on design and specification. Prepare budgets and financial forecasts for construction projects. Review and evaluate costs at each stage of the project and provide recommendations for cost control. 2. Billing and Invoicing: Prepare and submit bills, invoices, and payment requests based on the work completed. Ensure the accurate generation of interim payment certificates (IPCs) and final accounts. Verify work completed and monitor work in progress to ensure payments match the actual work. Handle and resolve disputes related to billing or payments. 3. Contract Management: Assist in the preparation of contracts, ensuring they comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Monitor and ensure that contractors and subcontractors comply with the terms and conditions of the contract. Conduct regular audits and checks to ensure adherence to contract terms. 4. Cost Control: Track and analyze project expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement corrective measures when necessary. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly project financial updates. Provide cost analysis and forecasting during the project's lifecycle. 5. Measurement and Valuation: Accurately measure work done (in terms of quantity and quality) for progress claims and final accounts. Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify the quality and quantity of work completed. Keep track of variations and changes to the scope of work, ensuring that the correct documentation is in place for any variations. 6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, contracts, and variations.Assist in the preparation of project reports for stakeholders, including project owners, contractors, and senior management. Ensure all relevant documentation is available for audits and compliance checks. 7. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve financial or contractual issues. Maintain effective communication with clients and contractors to ensure smooth project execution and timely payments. Support the team in making strategic decisions related to budgeting and cost management. 8. Risk Management: Identify and evaluate financial risks related to project execution. Propose solutions to mitigate financial risks and keep the project within budget. Ensure that financial aspects of risk management are addressed, including insurance and claims.
