Position Overview
The Quality & Testing Technician will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all products manufactured meet the stringent quality standards required for aerospace and defence applications. This is a hands-on role that demands precision, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to quality excellence. As an entry-level position, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a fresh diploma holder to build a strong foundation in quality control and gain practical expertise in a highly specialized manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Inspection & Testing
- Conduct rigorous visual and dimensional inspections of cables and wire products at various stages of production (raw materials, in-process, finished goods)
- Perform precision measurements using calibrated testing equipment and instruments (micrometers, calipers, resistance meters, tensile testers, etc.)
- Execute electrical and mechanical tests according to aerospace and defence standards (SAE AS4373, EN3475, MIL-Spec requirements, and company specifications)
- Document all test results, measurements, and observations in compliance with ISO and quality management protocols
- Identify deviations, defects, and non-conformances and immediately escalate to supervisor
Process Monitoring
- Monitor production processes for quality anomalies and maintain vigilant oversight of manufacturing activities
- Conduct periodic inspections of work-in-progress materials to prevent defect propagation
- Ensure that all raw materials meet incoming quality specifications before release to production
- Participate in statistical process control (SPC) activities and trend analysis
- Assist in root cause analysis for any quality issues that arise
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all quality checks, test data, and inspection findings
- Generate quality reports and maintain inspection logs as required by regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and relevant aerospace/defence quality standards
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and data
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and quality enhancements
- Contribute ideas and suggestions for optimizing inspection procedures and testing methods
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities
- Stay updated with changing quality standards and manufacturing best practices
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with production teams, quality engineers, and supervisors
- Communicate quality findings clearly and promptly
- Support on-the-job training and mentor junior team members as experience grows
- Foster a culture of quality consciousness across all departments
Required Qualifications
Education
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution
- OR equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or related technical field
Experience
- 0-1 years of relevant experience (freshers welcome)
- Practical exposure to manufacturing environments or laboratory testing is a plus
- Hands-on experience with quality control or testing equipment is advantageous
Technical Skills
- Understanding of chemical and material properties in manufacturing context
- Familiarity with precision measurement instruments and testing equipment
- Basic knowledge of quality control concepts and methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Understanding of statistical concepts (basic)

- Previous internship or practical training in quality assurance or manufacturing

- Understanding of electrical testing and measurements
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel for data recording)
- Certification in Quality Assurance (IRCA, ASQ, or equivalent)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Location:
Manufacturing facility in Pilkhuwa, Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh)Working Hours:

- Ability to lift and handle materials up to 10-15 kg
