Quality Officer - Fruits and Vegetables

As a Quality Officer within our Fruits and Vegetables division, you will play a vital role in the maintenance of high-quality standards and regulatory compliance for all products. Your primary responsibility will involve conducting quality control inspections, product testing, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the integrity of our supply chain. You will be tasked with performing quality control inspections on incoming raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to verify their adherence to established quality, size, color, ripeness, and packaging standards. Additionally, you will conduct comprehensive physical, chemical, and microbiological testing of fruits and vegetables to evaluate their safety, quality, and freshness. Maintaining accurate documentation of quality inspections, product tests, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions will be crucial in your role. You will prepare regular quality reports for management review and ensure compliance with local and international food safety standards. Collaboration with suppliers to guarantee the quality of raw materials, conducting supplier audits, and resolving quality issues will also be part of your responsibilities. Your role will involve identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency. Providing training and guidance to the production staff on quality control procedures, safety regulations, and best practices will be essential to minimize defects and ensure consistent product quality. Addressing and resolving customer complaints related to product quality, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions will also fall within your scope of work.
