Quality Engineer

Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for Quality Engineer with 4+ years of experience, who can seamlessly fill gaps in testing efforts, whether in manual testing, automation, regression execution, test case management, or defect resolution. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior QE members and developers, actively contributing to test execution, automation, debugging failures, feature validation, and maintaining test cases and results in Jira, Xray, or similar test management tools to ensure high product quality. Key Responsibilities: Be adaptable and fill gaps wherever a testing resource is required. Perform manual testing of new features, log defects, and collaborate on issue resolution. Execute regression test suites, analyze results, and report failures. Automate new and existing test cases to enhance test coverage and efficiency. Debug and fix test failures, ensuring stable and reliable test execution. Work closely with developers to get defects fixed, verify fixes, and ensure regression stability. Maintain and update test cases and test results in Jira, Xray, or similar test management tools. Collaborate with QE, Dev, and DevOps teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines. Investigate test failures, analyze root causes, and work with developers to resolve issues. Support test automation framework improvements for scalability and maintainability. Assist with performance, API, and UI testing efforts when needed. Required Skills & Qualifications : Ability to adapt and fill in gaps wherever required in the testing cycle. Strong experience in Manual & Automated Testing (UI, API, Functional, Regression). Experience in working with developers to debug issues and verify fixes. Experience in writing, maintaining, and updating test cases and test results in Jira, Xray, or similar test management tools. Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium). Proficiency in scripting languages (Python) for test automation. Experience with test frameworks (Pytest/Robot) Knowledge of API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools. Experience in debugging test failures, analyzing logs, and fixing flaky tests. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in a dynamic environment. Understanding of version control systems like Git. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter or k6. Hands-on experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of cloud platform (AWS) and testing cloud-based applications. Exposure to AI-driven test automation tools.
