Quality Engineer & Project Coordinator

Your responsibilities

• Project Coordination:

  • Act as the central point of contact for all project-related communication between Sales, Operations, Engineering, and customers.
  • Manage and oversee project delivery timelines to ensure adherence to project milestones.
  • Conduct both internal and external project kick-off meetings to establish clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations.

• Project Tracking & Problem-Solving:

  • Track project supply chain and inventory, ensuring materials and components are available as required for on-time delivery.
  • Identify and support alternative material solutions in case of shortages, collaborating with Operations and Engineering to ensure quality and feasibility.

• Quality Control & Inspection:

  • Conduct visual inspections of incoming fabricated items on a sampling basis, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements as needed.
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to communicate any known issues with purchased parts or products and address any dimensional deviations identified during inspections.
• Any other official duties as may be assigned by the Management.

Qualifications

Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering or equivalent education
Minimum five years of experience in a similar role dealing with quality systems, customers and suppliers management, supplier development and audits Strong knowledge in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) Knowledge in manufacturing processes/standards, material standards/grades, certifications, testing standards, and welding standards and processes. Preferably good knowledge of structural/steel metal fabrication processes Good understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings Statistical analytical skills and technical proficiency for quality processes Excellent proficiency in English Strong communication skills with concise and clarity to multiple stakeholder e.g. internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers Problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines and budgets Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment Willingness to travel and be mobile
