Quality Engineer-Automation

As a Quality Engineer - Automation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our products. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and executing testing strategies to validate software functionality, performance, and user experience. You will be working with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to guarantee software quality and reliability. You should have at least 4 years of experience in Selenium with Java for automation testing and a strong understanding of the Cucumber framework for BDD testing. Hands-on experience with Jira for test case management, including Xray test plugin for bug tracking, is essential. Your ability to design robust test strategies, write and maintain test scripts for automation, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams for bug identification and resolution will be critical for success in this role. In addition to the mandatory skills, experience with API testing using tools like Postman, knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter will be advantageous. A good understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle (SDLC) is necessary. Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments are also key requirements. Your responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium and Java, collaborating with development and product teams to create test plans, performing functional, regression, and performance testing, documenting and tracking bugs using Jira, continuously improving test frameworks and automation strategies, ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards, and actively participating in Agile/Scrum meetings to contribute to process improvements.
