Quality Controller (QC)

Product Quality Inspection:

• Perform bulk QC checks for new stock arrivals before product launches or promotional events.
• Ensure that displayed items during events meet showroom presentation and quality guidelines.
• Conduct thorough inspections of all incoming and outgoing jewellery items to ensure they meet design, finish, weight, and purity standards.
• Check for defects, damages, polishing issues, or inconsistencies in craftsmanship.

Purity and Certification Verification:

• Verify gold karatage (e.g., 18K, 22K), diamond quality (cut, color, clarity, carat), and hallmark or certification authenticity (e.g., BIS hallmark, GIA/IGI certificates).
• Ensure all items are properly certified before being displayed or sold.

Tagging and Labelling:

• Ensure each jewellery piece is correctly tagged with product code, weight, purity, price, and other required details.
• Coordinate with the inventory team to maintain accurate tagging and stock alignment.

Coordination with Workshop/Vendors:

• Communicate with the manufacturing unit or suppliers regarding quality issues, rework, or product rejections.
• Provide feedback and support quality improvements for custom orders or regular stock.

Display and Handling Supervision:

• Ensure that jewellery displayed in showcases is in perfect condition, properly placed, and free of scratches, tarnish, or defects.
• Monitor product condition regularly, especially for high-value pieces.

Customer Order Quality Check:

• Perform final quality verification for custom orders, alterations, and repairs before delivery to customers.
• Ensure special requests (engraving, resizing, etc.) are completed as per specifications.

Compliance and Standards Monitoring:

• Ensure adherence to internal quality control standards and industry regulations for precious metals and stones.
• Stay updated on jewellery quality trends and certification requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of QC checks, product rejections, and corrective actions.
• Generate quality reports and highlight recurring issues to showroom or quality heads.

Inventory Coordination:

• Assist in physical stock verification and ensure items are not misplaced, mixed up, or incorrectly documented.
• Coordinate with the inventory and billing teams to maintain consistency across systems.

Support During New Launches or Events:

• Perform bulk QC checks for new stock arrivals before product launches or promotional events.
